INTELECOM Supplies Libraries with Educational Video Downloads via OverDrive
Pasadena, CA - Libraries can now lend educational programming from INTELECOM Intelligent Telecommunications as downloads for viewing on computers and mobile devices. A distribution agreement between INTELECOM (www.intelecom.org) and OverDrive (www.overdrive.com) will allow libraries to select from more than 250 INTELECOM programs to add to their downloadable video collections.
OverDrive is the world's leading provider of download media to libraries with more than 300,000 audio book, eBook, music, and video titles serving more than 10,000 library partners worldwide. Libraries can select INTELECOM titles from OverDrive to lend via download from their websites. Examples of programs from INTELECOM include the popular philosophy series The Examined Life, and the award-winning Preserving the Legacy and Human Condition series.
"We are very pleased to be working with OverDrive and to reaching new audiences for our educational programming," said Cameron Cox, Vice President for Marketing and Member Services at INTELECOM. "We are particularly excited about the possibilities for mobile learning that the OverDrive service offers.”
As part of the agreement OverDrive will soon make INTELECOM video collections available that align with core curriculum courses on high school and college campuses nationwide. To see if your library is a member of the OverDrive network, and to find titles of eBooks, audio books, music, and videos available from public libraries, go to http://search.overdrive.com.
